Cooperation
There are two main routes for Article 6 carbon market-based cooperation - via cooperative approaches established between countries under Article 6.2 and the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (PACM) under Article 6.4.

Bilateral Agreements
Before setting up concrete cooperative approaches, countries generally sign implementation agreements to specify the terms of the collaboration. This often follows previous announcements of the cooperation or Memoranda of Understanding (MoU). If the agreement involves more than two countries or is expected to allow transfers in either direction, it is listed several times in the table below.
